Redesign America

Redesign America is a podcast about imagining what a better world could be by centering the voices of communities and their ideas of justice. Join Mustafa Ali-Smith as he, along with guests, unpack various social and criminal justice issues—all topics relevant to transforming the very world we live in.

As groups that have been excluded, oppressed, and subjugated to second-class caste systems throughout history, the podcast centers on the voices of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. Today, these communities continue to bear the negative outcomes of poverty, racism, inequity, violence, isolation, economic segregation, criminalization, and climate injustice, among many others. And while government stakeholders hold the duty of improving the lives of these communities, Black and brown communities—those most impacted—have important voices and perspectives to share in this constant struggle for justice.

Here, we are bringing both new and old perspectives and voices to the forefront to redesign America. Available wherever podcasts are found.
